This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how Ohm Mobility Private Limited ("Ohm Mobility", "the Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with your use of our website ohmmobility.in, the Ohm app, the partner platform, and our products and services — the Rental Management Platform, Recharge Network, Battery Swap, Fleet Monitor, and Charge-as-a-Service (collectively, the "Platform").
Please read this Policy carefully before using or registering on the Platform. Your access to or use of the Platform signifies your acceptance of this Policy and your agreement to be bound by it. We may update this Policy from time to time, as described in the "Amendments" section below. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Platform.
1. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide to us and information generated through your use of the Platform:
- Account and business information — name, business or fleet name, email address, phone number, and postal address that you provide when you register, place an order, or contact us.
- KYC and verification data — the identity and business documents described in our KYC & Details Collection page, collected to verify your business and to meet payment and regulatory requirements.
- Transaction information — orders, credit purchases, subscription details, invoices, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, bank account numbers, or one-time PINs; these are handled by our payment gateway partner under their own terms.
- Platform and telemetry data — how you use the Ohm app and dashboard, and IoT telemetry from vehicles and batteries you enrol (state of charge, charge cycles, battery health, and asset location).
- Technical data — device and browser details, IP address, and cookies, used to operate and secure the Platform.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (such as data on health, religion, or biometrics) and we do not collect information from individuals we know to be under 18. All information you disclose is deemed to be provided willingly.
2. How we use your information
- To register you, operate your account, and provide the Platform and services.
- To verify your identity and business directly or through authorised third parties, and to complete KYC as required by law and by our payment partners.
- To process orders, issue invoices, and enable payments through our payment gateway partner.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform, including troubleshooting, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- To communicate with you about orders, demonstrations, support, service updates, and — where you have not opted out — relevant offers.
- To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our agreements.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to keep the Platform functioning and basic analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the service. Cookies are small data files stored on your device; they do not give us access to your device or to data that personally identifies you beyond what you provide. Most browsers accept cookies by default — you can set your browser to remove or reject them, though this may limit some features of the Platform.
4. Third-party sites and payment gateways
The Platform may link to websites or services not operated by us ("Third-Party Sites"). Their handling of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we disclaim liability for them. Payments are processed by our authorised payment gateway partner; your card and banking details are collected and processed by that provider under their terms, not stored by us.
5. Data storage and security
Personal data is stored on secure servers located in India. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, role-based access, and audit logging — to protect against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Payment card information transmitted through the Platform is protected by encryption and handled by our payment gateway partner. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Disclosure and sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:
- with our payment gateway and banking partners, to process payments and meet their onboarding requirements;
- with service providers who host, support, or analyse the Platform on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations;
- with our affiliates in connection with providing the services; and
- where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Data is stored on servers in India, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, opt out of promotional messages, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by writing to support@ohmmobility.in. We respond within 30 days. Withdrawing data required for compliance may limit the services we can provide. You may also close your account and stop using the Platform, after which we may delete or de-identify your information.
9. Children
The Platform is intended for businesses and users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 and will delete such data if we become aware of it.
10. Liability disclaimer
While we adopt industry-standard security practices, the Company shall not be held liable for any unauthorised access, data breach, or misuse of personal data resulting from actions of third parties, including our payment gateway providers, beyond our reasonable control.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
12. Grievances
If you have a grievance relating to this Policy or your data, please contact our Grievance Officer at support@ohmmobility.in. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days, in line with our grievance redressal process.
13. Amendments
We may amend this Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
